Overview

The Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462) is a working holiday visa for eligible young people from a separate group of partner countries. It works much like the 417 but usually has extra requirements, which can include a level of education, English ability, and in some cases a letter of government support. Specified work can allow further visas.

  5. Travel, holiday and work within your visa conditions.
  6. Do specified work if you want to apply for a further year.

When you have the visa

You can work for a limited time with each employer and study for a limited period. Keep evidence of any specified work if you plan to apply for a further visa, and note the yearly limits that apply to some countries.
