Before launch, link this page directly to the current official OMARA Consumer Guide document and confirm wording.

Using a registered migration agent

Registered migration agents in Australia are regulated by the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA) and must follow the Migration Agents Code of Conduct. This helps protect you as a consumer of migration services.

Your rights

  • To be treated honestly, fairly and professionally
  • To receive clear information about services and fees before you commit
  • To a written agreement setting out the services and costs
  • To confidentiality and proper handling of your information
  • To make a complaint if you are unhappy with the service

The official Consumer Guide

OMARA publishes an official Consumer Guide explaining your rights and the role of registered agents. We provide this guide to clients as part of engaging our services, and you can also read it directly here: OMARA Consumer Guide (PDF).
